What is a ‘Party Pack of Ten Tickets’?
This year’s gala will be open seating with theater & lounge style seating. So, instead of selling tickets as a ‘table’, you will be purchasing ten individual tickets to the event at a discounted rate.
If I get a party pack of tickets, will all my guests be seated together?
This year the dinner will be served through a majority of food vendors, prior to the program. There will not be a seated dinner or assigned seating. Seating is open, and you are more than welcome to sit with your guests.
If there is no seated dinner, what will there be to eat?
Majority of the food will be provided by restaurant vendors, in addition to a few action stations provided by the caterer. Keep checking the Build Baltimore Gala website for an update on featured vendors!
Will I be able to sit at all?
There will be scattered tables and chairs throughout the space, but plan to be on your feet more than years’ past – wear comfortable shoes!
What is the Construction Education Academy (CEA) and why are we not raising money for Project JumpStart this year?
This coming April 2020, we will be opening the Construction Education Academy of Greater Baltimore (CEA), a 25k+ sq ft facility where we will be consolidating all of our other training (apprenticeship, management, safety, etc) into a single location.
Our vision is that from the unemployed and under-employed, to the craft professional who wants to advance their careers, to the newly minted contractor who desires coaching and fundamental understanding of what it takes to build, manage & grow a successful company. The CEA seeks to be that recognized training provider the industry and the region so badly needs. The launch of the CEA of Greater Baltimore will be the cornerstone of where construction careers are made and advanced from the day it opens its door.
Project JumpStart classes will continue to be held at their current location on the West and East sides of town. Job placement and apprenticeship for JumpStart grads will be held at the new academy.
So, for this one year only, the Build Baltimore Gala will focus on raising money for the academy.
What is the Assembly Room?
The Assembly Room is a raw event space near Mercy Hospital in Baltimore City. It is a two-story building with exposed brick and a ton of character!
Will I receive a physical ticket to this event?
No, we will have your name and your guest’s name on a guest list at the registration desk. If you have not submitted your guests’ names, please do so by clicking here.
The attire is “Baltimore Chic”, what does that mean?
It’s fun, it’s whimsical & it’s open to interpretation! Check back to the Build Baltimore website for ‘vision boards’ on what to wear and what NOT to wear.

What is different about the program this year?
The program will be much shorter! You will get an inside look at ABC Greater Baltimore’s new Construction Education Academy (CEA) and learn about what it will mean for the future of the city and the surrounding counties.
What is the parking like at The Assembly Room?
There are three options for parking at this event:
- The Guilford Garage is next door to the venue (310 Guilford Ave.) and is $10 per car. 2. The Mercy Bunting garage is located at the corner of Pleasant & Guilford Ave. – you can bring
your ticket into the Assembly Room for validation of $10 per car in this garage as well. 3. The flat/open parking lot across the street from the venue entrance (on Guilford Ave.) will also be open and available to guests at NO COST, but spaces in this lot are first come, first serve. Please do NOT park in the VIP parking spots in this lot unless you are a sponsor that receives VIP parking with their package (you would have been notified of this).
I would like to stay the night in the city, are there any nearby accommodations?
Yes! Just around the block from The Assembly Room is an Embassy Suites, click here for information. Since the event is not being held at the hotel, we do not have a discount for the room rates.
Will there be a silent auction this year?
Yes! Look for new and fun items to bid on throughout the evening. The silent auction will close 1⁄2 hour prior (10:30 pm) to the end of the event.
